Our Experienced Acupuncturists
Dawn is the owner of Merriam Park Acupuncture. She started her career as an alcohol, drug addiction and mental health counselor. Her next step was pursuing a second master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine.
I had tried getting pregnant for six years. I tried naturally and three rounds of IVF. I felt discouraged and alone. In all of my medical appointments for infertility I never found the support that I found at Merriam Park Acupuncture. After three months, I’m pregnant! I attribute it to them helping me manage my stress and giving me hope.
I went to Merriam Park Acupuncture because I was experiencing painful diarrhea for over a year. They worked with me on an elimination diet and I was able to find out what was causing it. I thought I was doomed with low energy, but after my diarrhea went away I felt like I could take on the world! I’m so grateful to have my life back.
I’ve had two surgeries back to back. On my first surgery, I wasn’t able to walk straight due to the pain and inflammation. After my second week of acupuncture I was able to walk straight with no pain. After my second surgery, I couldn’t stand for more than 20 mins at a time due to the pain in my legs. I went back and after my first session, I felt immediate relief.
My experience at Merriam Park Acupuncture has been very physically and emotionally healing. They are knowledgeable and professional acupuncturists and compassionate listeners. I originally started acupuncture for migraines, but my treatments have progressed to address many different ailments both physical and mental.
Acupuncture is known for its pain-relieving, stress-reducing, and relaxing benefits, but also treats infertility. Here’s how it can help your fertility.
If you suffer from chronic pain, you know just how life-altering it can be. Unrelenting pain can impact your life in ways that others don’t understand.
Winter is in full bloom. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season has an associated meridian, and in the winter, the Kidney Meridian needs more attention. The kidneys are responsible for our “Jing” energy. There isn’t an exact English translation for Jing, but the best word to describe it is our essence or our vitality.
